How to Match Multiple Pending Commissions to Existing Policies
How to Match Multiple Pending Commissions to Existing Policies
Pending commissions occur when a commission is imported but cannot be automatically matched to an existing policy in the system. The PENDING - MATCH TO EXISTING feature allows you to match these commissions in bulk to the correct Pending policy in the application.
When to Use This Feature
Use Pending – Match to Existing when:
A commission statement was imported successfully
The commission appears as Pending
The policy already exists in the system with a Pending status and no policy number
You want to match multiple pending commissions at once
Tip: If policies do not exist yet, use PENDING - CREATE NEW POLICY instead.
How Pending – Match to Existing Works
All pending commissions from all carriers appear on the Pending page
The system looks for eligible policies by matching:
Policy status(Pending)
Carrier
Client last name from the commission statement
Eligible policies are shown as selectable options
When matched, the policy number from the commission statement is added to the policy, and the commission is linked to it
Step-by-Step Instructions
From the Main Menu, click Commissions.
Click PENDING - MATCH TO EXISTING.
A list of pending commissions will appear for all carriers.
For each commission:
Review the list of eligible pending policies
Click Match next to the correct policy
Repeat as needed for additional commissions.
Important Notes
Only policies with a Pending status will appear as match options.
The policy number from the commission statement is automatically added to the matched policy.
Once matched, the commission is removed from the Pending list.
This process can be completed in bulk, saving time when working with multiple commissions.
