Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans pay a fee that is determined annually by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). A Manual Plan is available for any type of Advantage or PDP plan that requires a special schedule. Examples of these type plans are:
Commission amounts are more or less than CMS amounts.
Renewals are advanced.
Add
Go to the Main Menu.
Click Comp Plans.
Click ADD COMP PLAN.
Type - select MA-PDP.
Click CREATE MANUAL PLAN.
Click for a list of available schedules.
Name - enter a name for the plan.
Carriers - select the carriers for the comp plan.
End Year - select the ending year for the first time period. Year one ending period is always "1".Select Endless if the commission continues forever.
Fee - enter the annual fee amount.
Mode - enter the mode. First year mode is always One-Time.
Click ADDROW for additional commission periods.
End Year - select the ending year for the renewal period. Select Endless if the commission is level forever.
Fee - enter the renewal fee amount.
Mode - enter the renewal mode. Medicare renewals are paid monthly.
Advanced Rate – if commissions are advanced, enter the percentage amount advanced. (9 months = 75%, 12 months = 100%). If commissions are paid as earned, leave this field blank.
Click the delete icon to remove a row.
Add a description. (optional).
Click SAVE.
Edit
Go to the Main Page.
Click Comp Plans.
Click the comp plan name.
Make changes.
Click SAVE.
Duplicate
Go to the Main Menu.
Click Comp Plans.
Click the box next to a comp plan. Only one comp plan at a time can be duplicated.
Click the duplicate icon .
Make changes.
Click SAVE.
Delete
Go to the Main Menu.
Click Comp Plans.
Click the box next to the comp plans to delete.
Click the delete icon . The comp plan will be removed from all policies linked to it.
