Overrides and Bonuses - Graded Policies

Other Comp for a policy can be imported with a base policy by adding it to the policy import template.  An example of Other Comp is an override or bonus.  Add the other comp to the template only if it pays a separate commission on the same statement as the base policy.  AgencyComp can track the base commission and override or bonus separately to ensure payment on both.  Other comp can also be added manually after the policy is imported.

Add the override or bonus if it is paid on a separate line from the base commission.

Adding Overrides or Bonuses to Your Policies

  1. Download a Graded policy import template.
  2. Add information for the policy on the Step 3 - Base Policy tab.
  3. Click the Step 4 - Other Comp tab.
  4. Add the policy number.  This policy number should be included in the Step 3 - Base Policy tab.
  5. Add the status.
  6. Enter the Revenue Type name.  This is the name of the Other Comp as it appears in the commission statement.  The name will be used to match the commission to the policy.
  7. Select a Comp Plan Type.  Overrides and bonuses can be paid as a percentage of premium or a fee.
  8. Enter the Comp Plan Name for the override or bonus.

Overrides or Bonuses from Another Agent

  1. If you receive overrides or bonuses from another agent, add those policies to the Step 3 - Base Policy tab.
  2. Enter the name of the agent who wrote the policy.
  3. Enter the Comp Plan Name.  The comp plan describes how much and how long the override or bonus is paid.  Create the comp plan in the application first, then add the name of the plan here.
