Add Carrier Only — Create Comp Plan Later

Add Carrier Only — Create Comp Plan Later

A Carrier is required when importing policies; however, a Comp Plan is not.

If a Comp Plan Name is not provided, a temporary Comp Plan will be assigned to the policy. This temporary plan is based on the Comp Plan Type, which reflects the type of commission paid on the policy.

You can add or change a Comp Plan after import using the Bulk Change – Comp Plans method. However, this approach is more time-consuming than the other available methods and carries a higher risk of errors.

For best results, it is strongly recommended that you create the Comp Plan and assign a Comp Plan Name in the import template before importing your policies.

Add Data to the Template

  1. Enter a Carrier name.
  2. Leave the Comp Plan Name column blank.
  3. AgencyComp will automatically assign a temporary Comp Plan based on the Comp Plan Type (the type of commission paid on the policy).
