How to Create Multiple New Policies from Pending Commissions
How to Create Multiple New Policies from Pending Commissions
The PENDING – CREATE NEW POLICY feature allows you to create new policies directly from pending commissions and automatically match those commissions to the newly created policies.
Previously, policies could only be created one at a time. This enhancement allows you to create up to 10 new policies at once by using information from the commission map and commission statement to prefill most of the required policy data.
When to Use This Feature
Use PENDING – CREATE NEW POLICY when:
A commission statement was imported successfully
The commission appears as Pending
No matching policy exists in the system
You want to create and match multiple new policies at the same time
Tip: If the policy already exists with a Pending status, use PENDING – MATCH TO EXISTING instead.
How Pending – Create New Policy Works
All pending commissions that do not have a match in the system appear on one page
Information from the commission map and commission statement is used to populate up to 99% of the data needed to create each policy
All pending commissions are displayed in an editable format
Policies are selected by default when the page loads
You can:
Edit any data directly in the row
Uncheck policies you do not want to create
When you click ADD POLICY AND MATCH, new policies are created and the commissions are automatically matched
About the Comp Plan
New policies are created using a temporary comp plan by default
This is intentional, since the system does not know which comp plan you want to assign
You can:
Edit the comp plan directly on the PENDING - CREATE NEW POLICY page, or
Update the comp plan after the policy has been imported
Step-by-Step Instructions
From the Main Menu, click Commissions.
Click PENDING – CREATE NEW POLICY.
The page opens showing all pending commissions that do not have a match in the system.
When the page loads:
All policies are selected by default
Each row is editable
Uncheck any policy you do not want to add to the database.
The Comp Plan will default to a Temporary plan. You can change the plan now or after the policy is created.
Click ADD POLICY AND MATCH to save all checked policies.
You may add up to 10 policies at a time.
Important Notes
This process creates the policy and matches the commission in a single step.
Only commissions without an existing policy match will appear.
Editing data before clicking ADD POLICY AND MATCH helps ensure the policy is created correctly the first time.
