Understanding Comp Plans

A Comp Plan defines how commissions are paid on your policies.  For demonstration purposes, temporary Com Plans were assigned when your policies were initially created.

Several reports within AgencyComp rely on the Comp Plan linked to each policy, including:
  1. Pending Business - view first year commission on policies in underwriting
  2. Revenue Projection - project revenues on your book of business up to 10 years
  3. Projected vs Actual - compare expected commissions to those received
To improve reporting accuracy and long-term projections, we recommend creating Comp Plans that match your specific commission schedules.

Use the links below to learn more about the different Com Plan types available in AgencyComp:
  1. MA-PDP (Medicare Advantage & Prescription Drug Plans)
  2. Fee (ACA & Under-65 Medical)
  3. Pct of Premium (Ancillary, Medicare Supplement, Life, LTC, CI, Accident, etc.)
  4. Target Premium (Universal Life)
  5. Graded (Small Group Life, Dental, STD, LTD)
Once your Comp Plans have been created, you can update the Comp Plan assigned to your policies individually or in bulk.
